Yep, you got to see that scene in its infant stage (so to speak). As a mom of two grown children, I tried to think back to how they reacted when confronted with people they didn’t know well… so I “drew a lot from the well of experience,” so to speak. And yes, it still happens today… Lucky children who have extended family who love them, right?

Hi Ann. Great post and a subject of interest to me since my protagonist has a tendency to combine sleuthing with soccer games. It’s always tricky trying to determine if readers will enjoy the addition of children to the detecting mix. I know you’ll handle the subject as perfectly as you do everything else. I can’t wait to start reading it.
